This message, taken from Coram Deo course material from Disciple Nations Alliance, is one of my favorites because of the clarity it brings to how we can all advance God’s Kingdom – here and now!

The Kingdom advancement is an inside-out advancement. It starts with one’s heart being regenerated, which leads to a renewed mind, which leads to the formation of Christ-like character, which leads to a transformed family, and is then lived out in every sphere of society. Whatever your role/job, you can live this out and advance the Kingdom! 

Every act of love and service done in Jesus’ name is an act of Kingdom advancement, a bringing about of a new order. We have a role to play in the restoration and reconciliation of all things to Christ. It’s a tall order, but one we have been empowered to carry out. Think about and act on this question: What does God want to do in you and through you to advance His Kingdom in your life, your family, your neighborhood, your community, and your city?

“His voice that time shook the earth to its foundations; this time—he’s told us this quite plainly—he’ll also rock the heavens: “One last shaking, from top to bottom, stem to stern.” The phrase “one last shaking” means a thorough housecleaning, getting rid of all the historical and religious junk so that the unshakable essentials stand clear and uncluttered. Do you see what we’ve got?
