When we stop and think about all God has done for us, we can’t help but be thankful. Gratitude gives birth to joy—and joy shows.
The Apostle Paul puts it this way:
“Be joyful always,
Pray continually,
Give thanks in all circumstances,
For this is God’s will for you
In Christ Jesus.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:16-1)
If this is what God wants for us, then he will help us become joyful, prayerful and thankful people. A grateful heart opens us up to him and to each other; it takes us deeper in our relationship with him and with others.
