The good we do for people, carrying out God’s will on earth as it is in heaven, is the greatest treasure we create on earth and the only treasure we keep for eternity that also pays us rich dividends now!   

I imagine if Jesus were to wrap up his teaching in this most interesting part of the Sermon on the Mount, he would simply tell us, “Put your treasure where your heart ought to be, and if your heart isn’t there yet, it will be.  Just trust me!
