Message Monday 8/20/18 – Parables For The Jesus Follower: The Workers In The Vineyard

Chuck Foreman – Teaching / Missions Pastor

Are we grateful for what we have received or envious of what others have? Can we accept those whom we consider to be undeserving, who seem to have received more than we have—in this thing in which we all find ourselves— the Kingdom of Heaven?

In this Kingdom, God himself comes searching for us—right where we are. He has compassion on us and takes us in. We willingly serve him and trust him to take care of us. But his generous grace far exceeds what we could ever earn!

We must understand that we are obligated to extend the same grace to others as we have received, especially to those who are showing up at the end of the day to work in the same vineyard in which we have been laboring all day. Because this is not only what the Kingdom of Heaven is like, this is the Kingdom of Heaven!

Who are the new kids on your block (in the vineyard) whom God has invited, but whom you don’t think deserve to be here?
