As Followers of Jesus, we march to the beat of a different drum. We are Christians First, before anything else—before our politics, before our opinions, before SELF! And we let Jesus inform the way we think and the way we live. We love God by loving our neighbor. “Others First” is our motto. The Apostle Paul put it this way, Romans 15:2-7.

5/24/20 Message – Where Is God When Life Gets Tough?: God’s Purpose In Suffering #3: Prevent Conceit In Us & Make Us Strong

Bad News: Suffering is part of the deal! It’s the only way to prevent conceit in us.
Good News: God uses suffering to make us humble and dependent on him for our strength. God’s purpose in our suffering is always something good!

For now we suffer, as a broken humanity together with a broken creation. But we look forward, in eager anticipation, along with the rest of creation, to the restoration and renewal of all things, and to the redemption of our bodies in the New Heaven and the New Earth!

FCC Mid-Week Update – “New Normal” – 4/1/20

I believe that the Church in America is realizing a New Normal now that is probably going to last for several months, at least. We need to learn a new paradigm of what it means to be the Church and live out our faith. I want to share some things stirring in me.
