Message Monday 2/29/16 – FCC PHX Kingdom Ministry Partners – StreetLight USA

Chuck Foreman – Teaching Pastor

Streetlight is addressing a very broken area in our world, an area where creation is perhaps groaning the most–human trafficking, Streetlight rescues young girls from the clutches of harm and the bondage of hopelessness. This is why fcc has been a supporting partner with Streetlight from its beginning. Our partnership with organizations like Streetlight helps us be a church that is involved in resolving issues of injustice and oppression outside our four walls—grave issues close to God’s heart. We cannot be just a church going about religious activity which makes no impact for good in our world. Streetlight helps us understand the words of Isaiah the prophet:

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.

(Isaiah 58:6-9)

Message Monday 2/22/16 – FCC PHX Kingdom Ministry Partners – House Of Refuge

Chuck Foreman – Teaching Pastor

When the sons and daughters of God show up and do their thing, even the world around us is liberated from its bondage, brokenness and pain. (Romans 8:19)

House of Refuge is one of FCC’s mission partners which is showing up right here in Phoenix to rescue men and women from bondage, brokenness and pain.

We’re a better church for our partnership with House of Refuge.  They help us do the work which God prepared for us and created us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)

Message Monday 2/15/16 – FCC PHX Kingdom Ministry Partners – ASM

Chuck Foreman – Teaching Pastor

Something happened to all creation the moment sin entered God’s perfect garden. Pain, thorns, weeds, illness, sorrow and regret became part of life—all things absent in God’s original design. The Apostle Paul’s description of the affect sin had on creation is found in Romans 8:18-23. He says that creation has been groaning as if in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time, waiting for the sons and daughters of God to be revealed. When God’s Children are revealed or show up, then even creation will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the Children of God. Hmmm…a renewed, restored creation. Now that sounds like something worth showing up for.   (more…)
