“The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice.” (Proverbs 12:15)  Isn’t it interesting how often we think we’re right, but how often we also believe we are wise? Message Monday 02/23/15 – Proverbs: What A Fool Believes

When you read Proverbs, the verdict seems to be out with regard to the most basic character trait of a fool. He (or she) is the kind of person who assumes, or wants to believe he is right and without regard for the wise advice of those around him, does exactly what he wants to do anyway. The result, Solomon observes, is failure, ruin and ultimately, death. Not a very hopeful outcome. The way to success and a fruitful, happy life, on the other hand, is simply the converse…  (more…)
